My four-year-old nephew told me the name of his favorite author this afternoon. I was thinking someone like Eric Carle or even J.K. Rowling, as he’s seen the movies and had the first book read to him, but no. This name came as a complete surprise and I had nothing to do with it, unfortunately. So it turns out that my dad is now allergic to bees. The doctor told him that the next time he gets stung by a bee he could die. He’s supposed to carry around a needle in case of emergency or go for a series of shots that will supposedly desensitize him to bee stings.
